JTG Products is a new model maker specializing in HO scale WWII-era models. This review is a casting from the set Equipment Skid Loads, part of the HO WWII Detailed Parts category.
JTG Products specializes in the modeling of the German Railroad of the WWII Era. Modeling the World War II Eastern Front since 1984, and recently building models for others, in May 2013 an enjoyable full time hobby became JTG Products. JTG Products makes lineside structures such as loading ramps, diorama scenes, detail parts and sets in various media, as well as combining and customizing commercial HO railway rolling stock and military subjects for sale. More than German subjects are available and while too many to list here, an example is his set Roco Minitanks Patton's 3rd Army 24 Soldiers 2 Sherman Tanks Custom, including everything in the title, painted and ready to populate your layout! The models and services can be obtained via the website JTG1942 and eBay.
While JTG Products is focused on military modeling, these loads are perfect for civilian scenes, too.
Equipment Skid Load
Three separate castings are available in the set. Like this piece, all are of something hidden from the prying eyes of reconnaissance under a heavy tarpaulin, cast in a ceramic. The casting process yielded good detail. Being ceramic it has weight; this can make it less likely to be knocked off your layout.
It is cast sharp with fine detail and no casting flash, air pockets, or mold lines.
This set is a good way to supply your layout scenes with a group of three Equipment Skid Loads. Recommended.
We thank JTG Products for sending this casting in for review. Please tell them you saw this here - on RailRoad Modeling.
