Six times a year Herpa publishes their flagship magazine DER MASS:STAB Modellfahrzeug-Magazin. Issue 4/August 2012 is now available, full of interesting and detailed models and stories for late summer.

NOTE ABOUT PHOTOS There was a glitch in loading the photos -- each loaded several times. There are only 32 photos before you will find duplicates; fortunately as you advance through them they stop at number 32.

TITELSTORY / COVER STORY
Der kleine Bruder (The little brother): Mercedes-Benz Antos. Herpa examines the 1/1 scale Antos and exhibits their models of the new truck series. Antos was developed as a semi and as a rigid truck, both offering multiple axle configurations, and other modular options. Smaller than the parallel developed heavy Actros, Antos is categorized as LKW, Lastkraftwagen , a heavy-duty truck designed for short distances. Herpa will release this model in many configurations.

NEUHEITEN / NEWS
An amazing collection of new models are showcased in their news section displaying innovations we will be seeing in September and October: Porsche 911 Targa; MAN container truck for the Aachen Fire Department; hardtop Mercedes-Benz SL-class super sports; heavy Scania semi-dump truck; heavy duty semis with a variety of specialized trailers, fire trucks, a police car, small civil vehicles, construction trucks, and the special edition semi-truck profiled in this issue -- these are the neat new models due out starting next month. Also scheduled for release are several Russian and NVA ZIL and UAZ vans and trucks, as well as the GDR/DDR IFA G5 fire truck (reviewed here on RailroadModeling).

Herpa also lists models now available in new colors, i.e., Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster in mysticweiß/Mystic White.
