Shop Cabinet with Open Door

Introduction
This new two-piece shop cabinet boasts a lot of detail, including a separate door casting so you can leave it off or open, your choice.

The Model
This casting is 2" by 1/2" by 2" tall. Rusty Rail packages it in a clear plastic bag sealed with a card label header.

There was no flash on my sample, nor seam lines or bubbles. Casting is sharp with distinct wood grain detail, hinges, and a barrel full of parts and other items. Inside the cabinet are shelves holding bottles, cans, lanterns, pipe flanges and unions, wire spool, and other items. Atop the cabinet is a tool box, motor, and tools.

Scale?? Rusty Rail lists this casting on their O scale (1/48) page. However, I think it can work with other scales. I show it with a 1/48 figure and a 1/35 figure.

Conclusion
Whether you model subjects of railroadia, military, automotive, sci-fi, figures, aviation or any other genre, this cabinet is great for detailing a maintenance scene.

Casting is sharp. Detail is impressive.

My only complain is that there is a thin layer of excess resin on the back that can be seen along the edges of the model -- if you look for it.

Fred, nicely done. I like the light tone of the wood, and worn metal hinges. Hard to really see the detail of the "goods" on the shelf as it's a little blurred. The barrel looks realistic, I like how you tried to vary the color to simulate how moisture effects the various areas. Joel
