Well we don't seem to have any campaigns running on ModelGeek, well that just has to change .
So has anyone got any ideas for a new campaign?

Post Apocalyptic vehicles. Would allow pretty much a free for all in regards to vehicles. Kinda like Mad Max on steroids. Just a thought. "Q"

If "post apocalyptic" can include a BSG colonial viper, then i would go for that for sure (and you gotta admit that was one hell of an apocalypse!).

or what about a "movies and series" campaign?

basically i'll join any campaign where i can build this kit that i just acquired (it's the only sci-fi kit i currently have un-built):

Good idea - I'd be in for just about anything Sci-Fi.

PAV theme is pretty close to the "end of days" campaign already proposed in the auto section...me...I'd say starship themed....Trek, Star Wars, BSG...open type...it's all good.

I'd like to see you build something that would be at home on the movie, The Book of Eli. I've seen you OIF pickup truck; you could do the Suburban that Mila drives at the end.

I just checked on any past campaigns here...pretty slim pickins I see..however, maybe an "around the world II" could be in order...covers nearly all the bases - in house atmospheric vehicles, land/sea/air only...no space{bummer}.
...just a thought....maybe a steam punk theme....I got nothin after that-

Hi mates , well the End Of Days campaign is in the post apocalyptic theme , Von Cudas baby ( I'm enlisted ) .
What about future fighting vehicles , or conflicts , that way it is in the future and to infinity ?
Open ended and up for just about anything .
Sabot , thanks for the kind words on my Humvee . I think Kuba is the main man , inspiring stuff.
Keep brainstorming guys

Having never built anything Gundam before, I wouldn't mind having a go at that, or going for a more wide range campaign, something like Spaceships, but not allowing anything from Star Wars or Star Trek (as they can be campaigns by themselves).
Keep the ideas coming lads.

Hmmm...maybe "turn something into a spaceship campaign" or "make a futuristic fighter"{oh, you said that one}...this coming from the guy who made a walking sherman tank and started a space battleship{really need to get back to that one!}.
Just to prove my ideas are lacking lately, how's this- "take two and call me in the morning campaign".....take two kits, graft, splice, bash combine to make....?.......

Another Sci-fi forum plans to have a spacefighter contest so I don't know if MGeek wants to share the same idea.

How about a "Tell a little story" Sci-fi campaign where it could be a diorama, vignette, or even a single model and the modeler has to build to tell a little story as well as write a little Sci-fi story blurb? A "Show and Tell" of sorts.

Steam punk would be pretty cool. Air, land, sea or space. Cavourite stuff could count as well. Coinversions or scratchbuilds, all fair game.

Though I like all the ideas put out on the table, gotta admit "Steam Punk" has got me intrigued. I've never modeled anything along those lines before...

Me either...there's a guy over on cultman tv's site who took the star trek voyager and copper plated it, gave it a nice patina finish added a ton of rivets over said plating and calls it an "in atmosphere ship"...looks pretty cool! I've got the movie "the golden compass" and there's two air ships in there that are interesting...

How about a campaign based around vehicles used in futuristic video games. The DUNE series of games come to mind.

..."Tron"
Did a search on steampunk and found this anime video that has several ships in it...here's a link just for laughs. Last exile is the movie - Not bad, pretty close to what I was searching for-
anime steampunk ship

Oh, do check out "more scans from this user" for other ships.....the silvana is cool.

So far the campaign suggestions are -
Post Apocalyptic vehicles
Around the world II
Future fighting vehicles
Scratch-building a spaceship
Vehicles used in futuristic video games
and last but not least -
Steam Punk.
I'm up for any of them myself, but the Steam Punk suggestion does sound intriguing.

The Dune series I mentioned allows for ground, air, and space vehicles, to be built, however I have never heard of Steam punk and didn't find anything worth looking at using a quick search can I ask for some links to useful sites as my interest has been peaked.

Hi Darren,
Steam punk is a fusion (of sorts) of Victorian steam power combined with futuristic technology, based on what the people of this period would have visualized it to look like.
Here is a link to a Wiki page.
It is intriguing.

Mmmm.... intriguing, like Darren have not come across steam punk before but if I'm right is it a bit like cyber punk (future) but set in victorian times?
Anyway I'm interested but only have Starwars and a Saturn 5, oh and an old resin Aliens marine figure.
Scratch built space ship could be a go

Purist steampunk is a combination of old steam and futuristic things but there's always different tangents too...less steam and more different futuristic tangent from what we know or have...it's a pretty open subject to interpretation.
Per the ships- Some are iron based while some are wooden....take a given modern ship and revert some or alot of things back to an old days look and then make it fly....steampunk.....
