Looks like a load of fun Jesper, I might try to join in once I finish current builds. You might want to check the start/finish dates on the enlistment page, it only allows 2 months duration.

Cheers, D

Bob, welcome onboard Maybe it is time to your banner from light tanks to Sci-Fi?

John, welcome. It is definitely ok to be excited about your build for this campaign. I will add you to our roll call.

Damian, thanks for the heads up on the finish date. Clearly a mistake. The finish date is and should be 1st May 2016. Hope to see you join us - maybe with a 1947 Me 262 in the second Battle of Britain

I've only got about 497 Luft 46 projects I could enter. Sign me up as well.
Not sure what I am going to build, but maybe the Me 262U4 with that giant cannon nose that I did not get built for the 262 campaign.

I'm signed up here. Unfortunately I had to drop out of a campaign ending in 10 days that I hadn't started on yet. There's a realistic limit to the number of campaigns on can finish.
Cheers to a fresh start with this one! No clear vision yet-- something in the hover ship area, I think.

Mike and Sean, great to have you with us!

Mike, I love the Me 262 idea. I have the same kit in my stash and it would be a great kit for a Luft '46 project.

Sean, hovercraft??!! I am officially intrigued Great to see the banner in use

I hated that I missed the last End of Days Campaign...I didn't even know there was one. Anyway, I'm in and thanks Jesper for the heads-up on this one. I don't come over here much.

I'm not sure what I'll do...I'm sort of burnt out on zombies and post-apoc subjects so I'll probably something a bit light-hearted and fun. Maybe dino riding soldiers or something. Or a steampunk styled subject. I'll come up with something, probably more along the alternative history angle.

Welcome, Alex. I thought this might be something you'd like.

Now Dino riding soldiers would definitely be something out of the ordinary! We have plenty of time to decide. I have already changed my mind back and forth a couple of times since submitting this campaign.

Signed up.

Not sure what I am going with yet, maybe WH40K, or some WW11 paper project in full service rig.

Cheers.

Jesper,

Thanks for getting this campaign off the ground. As much as I love building accurate AFV's, its always a lot of fun getting to add your own creativity to a project. The paper panzers and what if builds are quickly becoming my favorite. I think for this campaign I will build a JS-3S M 1946 - My inspiration for the build is from the Red Gambit alternate history series by Colin Gee (I would recommend the series to anyone who likes that genre)

In the meantime, I thought Id share a sci-fi build I did not too long ago. Its a 1/32 Star Wars Trade Federation tank done up in a distinct camo scheme.

Looking forward to this campaign!

I had the idea of building a WW1 Mk1 Tank a couple of years ago armed with reverse engineered martian heat-rays. Might be a chance to resurrect it.

Shawn and Stephen, welcome onboard

Shawn, awesome build. I like the shark teeth and the three color camo. That is exactly what this campaign is all about. The IS-3S sounds cool.

Stephen, the WWI tank with Martian guns sounds great. Sort of like steam punk meets Sci-Fi.

I got the idea from a comic series called Scarlet Traces which continues the War of the Worlds story in an alternative 1940's. Britain uses martian tech (with the help from a captured live martian) to usher in a quantum leap in technology. The downside being the rise of a totalitarian government, using said technology to subjugate the citizens of the British Empire and then invade mars in an act revenge. A very cool series if you can find it.
I'm going to change it slightly in that political and world events of the early 20th Century playing out as normal and WW1 breaks out. During this time however Britain has been secretly researching martian weaponry and power systems, denying access to other nations. The official line is that the martians deliberately sabotaged or destroyed their machines in their final hours and none were salvageable or working. The secrecy and hard work is to pay out when the British Army deploys heat-ray and black smoke armed tanks during the 1916 Somme offensive.

I'll probably do a triceratops. I'd prefer to use Raptors but the Tamiya ones look too small to carry a rider. I think there's a set with the trike and the raptors...if I get that I may make the raptors hunting animals like wardogs.
For the rider my first thought was German DNA Dinos but I'm kind of burned out on Nazis. So maybe an alternative world were Imperial Rome never fell. And the dinos are found on the "new provinces" across the oceans. I might even pick up as set of Masterbox's PinUps and make them in to Amazons. Maybe it's a first contact situation with Roman explorers meeting the Amazons for the first time. That could be fun.

I'm liking the Roman Dino Cavalry idea but if something happens and it's not possible, then I'd probably do a steampunkish deep-sea or lunar exploration based project.

I'm signed up here ! I've no clear idea about the subject I'm going to build, but most probably a paper panzer dated 1947...

Cheers
