OK, let us extend the campaign until 1st February. That will allow progress over the christmas holidays and finishing touches through January.

I will check the campaign gallery on 1st February and award ribbons to all completed entries.

Looking forward to see progress over the next 6 weeks or so.

I would certainly appreciate an extension as well. It has been really tough to get much progress done on mine.

We can do a two week extension - would that work?

Anybody else finalizing their entries?

Nice progress, guys.

We are now in the last stretch for this campaign. Little less than a month left.

Time to push through and get something finished

i know it's been a while since i last posted any info about the "Gonk" droid from star wars so here is a brief update, as you can see i'm finally onto the painting and weather side of things and i might just make this inside the deadline with a little luck.

this shot was taken just after i had given it a coat of citadel sealer paint.

Howdy Y'all
I'm trying to get closer to the finish line. I've used some rattlecan ModelMaster Dark Green on the base. I was going to add foliage to the base but that might be a project for another time if I don't do it for this campaign.

Take care,
Don "Lakota"

Great builds, Delbert! Remember to upload them to the gallery.

Great progress on the cabin. Very nice details - brings cool memories of the car in the movie.

Hello Again everyone.

I felt a little guilty that my kit wasn't as hard as some of the builds that are here, So I found something at Hobby Lobby that was on sale and built another little kit.

I'm not as good as Lain esp on the round parts but for my second metal art style kit. its not bad..

The Imperial Star Destroyer. This post is to show my work.. and let me tell you some of these pieces were tiny...

Hello,

Just uploaded my photo's of Poe's X-Wing. It was a nice easy kit and it makes up a nice model.

Hope everyone is having fun with the campaign.

Wow, Mike. That looks like a lot of time spend cutting and sanding. As rewarding as it can be to create a silk purse out of a pigs ear, I understand that might be a bit too much. That kit looks to be able to take the joy out of modeling for any modeller.

Any other kits in your stash that fit the campaign and is interesting to you?

Remember if you start a kit for this campaign and do not finish it, it will still qualify for Sci-Fi IV.

Yeah, somehow I had it in my head this was a quick build, but I must not have looked very closely before I stashed it away.
Other kits of interest? Sure, too many really..
Start for this one and finish for IV or the next sci-fi Hangar Queen/Gett R done, also sure.. just not sure what to pick up.

Lost my sci fi mojo for now. Plus it's report card/parent conference season, so my 'free' time is about to get shot to hell..

well I am hosed..
I was going with this kit

But the wafer casting is so poor and the molds so old...

That's not going to happen...

Not sure if I can start and finish a kit in the time left.

Hi Jesper,
I'm searching for Back-2-Base snow. Where did you find/buy it? I love the snow effect results you've achieved.
Thanks,
Don "Lakota"

Cool to see you are organised, Don. Very tidy workspace

For the snow I simply build it up with white glue and battlefield snow. The battlefield snow is basically white sand. Easy to work with.
When that has cured I add back-2-base snow under thinned white glue. I leave as much as possible on. It gives a more fluffy look. Lasting I seal it with sprayed on Matt varnish.

Here is what I use:
