M10 IIC Achilles

  • move
This is the Tamiya 1/48 M10 IIC Achilles kit, as seen in the recent build log and review. It was an enjoyable build and makes a pleasing model.

Built straight out of the box, I decided to portray the vehicle as it might have appeared during the summer of 1944 in Normandy. Rain showers keep the dust from overwhelming the tank destroyer but can't keep it all off.

I painted the model with Pactra, Polly Scale and Vallejo acrylics, weathering the finish via 'flick brushing'. The dusts are Lifecolor paints and pigments while the rust is by Wilder.
